This video was recorded from the APS Academy's Mastercraft Series event for Integrity month in March 2024.

Sam Chard PSM is the Head of Division, Business Grants Hub and Integrity in the Department of Industry, Science and Resource. Her role oversees the delivery of over $7 billion in government funding to over 83,000 businesses, and she is responsible for establishing improved integrity capability within the department.

Sam recognises that all public servants need to use some level of judgement, and that “good judgement” is a skill that can be learned and developed. Sam discusses how Integrity and judgement work together and shares her guidance on building the valuable skill of using judgement in decision making.

Listen along to the Q&A session with Sam after the formal presentation.
