APS HR Workforce Strategy
The APS HR Workforce Strategy and Action Plan, called "HR: The People Profession," and the Pathways to Professionalisation Framework were launched on 4 August 2021 by Jacqui Curtis, Chief Operating Officer at the Australian Taxation Office. These tools are designed to help everyone in the Australian Public Service (APS) HR community build their skills, deliver better services, and grow as professionals. The strategy focuses on helping people improve their abilities, providing high-quality HR services, and lifting the standards of the whole profession.
The framework gives clear steps for HR employees at different stages in their careers, so they can see what skills they have now and what they need to develop next. These resources work alongside existing agency strategies and support a strong, capable, and agile APS workforce.
