Before Getting Started
This section provides practical, authoritative guidance to help teams design, develop and maintain high quality learning and development (L&D) solutions. It brings together APS standards, common tools and shared language so learning is consistent, usable and inclusive across government.

Quality Principles
A One-APS learning ecosystem integrates tools, people, data, and processes to support all learning stages, from design to evaluation, fostering collaboration and unified organisational learning.
Files, Metadata and Authoring tools
Only use approved authoring tools. Clearly document who can edit, publish and retire learning products to avoid version confusion and unauthorised changes.
Where possible, use common, open file formats that can be accessed across devices and systems. Provide alternatives where proprietary formats are required.
