By the CALD Strategy team at the Australian Public Service Commission
The Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) has released Part Two of MOSAIC magazine.
The Multicultural Organisation – Staff Awareness, Innovation and Capability (MOSAIC) magazine is a digital learning which supports the aim of the APS to provide a safe and supportive work environment for APS employees, as outlined in the APS CALD Employment Strategy.
Drawing on the APS Learning Quality Framework, the magazine incorporates a variety of multimedia, including downloadable resources. It supports self-paced learning, with features to help learners to reflect, facilitate team activities and develop a personalised action plan for uplifting multicultural capability.
Part One of the magazine is designed to increase cultural awareness and support and strengthen culturally inclusive practices and behaviours across the APS. Read more about the magazine.
Part Two of the magazine supports APS 6 to Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders to champion cultural diversity and inclusion in their teams and organisations. After engaging in the magazines activities, leaders can develop a better understanding on various cultural nuances, to enable leaders to manage teams in a more culturally safe way.
The MOSAIC magazine is freely available to APS employees through APS Learn APS People – Cultural Capability page.
If your agency is interested in hosting MOSAIC on their own learning management system, please contact the APS Academy.
