Stewardship Guidance helps APS employees understand and apply the APS Value of Stewardship, which was introduced into the Public Service Act 1999 to reinforce the responsibility all employees share in maintaining an effective, trusted and sustainable Australian Public Service. The guidance provides a practical framework for embedding stewardship in everyday work and decision-making, ensuring the APS continues to serve the Government, Parliament and the Australian community now and into the future.
