Digital capability is critical to delivering modern, user-centred government services and improving outcomes for the Australian community. The APS Digital Professional Stream Strategy provides a roadmap for building and strengthening digital capability across the Australian Public Service (APS).

The strategy supports the development of a highly skilled, connected and future-ready digital workforce. It aims to attract, develop and retain digital talent, strengthen professional standards, and build the capabilities needed to support digital transformation across government.

By investing in people, capability and professional development, the strategy helps ensure the APS can respond to emerging technologies, deliver better digital services and meet the evolving needs of government and the community.
