HR data is used in almost every aspect of recruitment, retention, development, innovation and monitoring of workforce productivity.

Data skills are essential for all APS employees to support evidence-based and informed decision-making. Data skills assist in improving operational efficiency, efficient resource allocation and management, and engagement with stakeholders.

HR practitioners must know how to gather and interpret data for sound decision-making and problem solving.

The content for this module has been provided by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), with the support of the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC), Department of Education Skills and Employment (DESE), and Services Australia.
