Undertaking a Privacy Impact Assessment

A Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) is a structured approach used to identify, assess and manage privacy risks associated with projects, systems, services and initiatives that involve personal information. By considering privacy impacts early, organisations can make informed decisions, reduce privacy risks and support the responsible handling of personal information throughout the project lifecycle.

This learning experience provides practical guidance on conducting a Privacy Impact Assessment and embedding privacy considerations into project planning and delivery. It helps participants build the skills and confidence needed to apply privacy risk assessment practices within organisational and government environments.
