Who should attend
These courses are intended for APS officials who are either new to procurement, require a refresher or are considering a transition into a procurement role. The courses provide value to individuals engaged in ad-hoc procurement activities, including panel arrangements and limited tenders, as well as to established procurement professionals and delegates. The content is applicable to all procurement activities, including information and communications technology and construction projects.

Procurement for SES Delegates
In addition to the above, the Department of Finance is hosting a Procurement for SES Delegates course in Brisbane on 30 September 2025 at the Amora Hotel. This course is a high-level overview of the procurement framework as it relates to SES delegates. It expands on the roles and responsibilities of SES delegates when making decisions and approving procurement activities.
This session will be facilitated by Anush Avakian - First Assistant Secretary, Procurement Division at the Department of Finance. This event is in-person and is free.

Who should attend
SES band 1-3. This course is designed for SES delegates involved in procurement or managing procurement activities, whether regularly or occasionally. It also suits those with a general interest in procurement.

This course can only be viewed by SES officials. If you are an EL2 currently acting, or regularly act, in SES roles, and would like to attend please send us an email and we will register you. If you are EA tasked to register an SES official, please send us an email and we will assist.
