Digital Profession
The Digital Profession aims to lift the digital capability of the Australian Public Service (APS), to transform service delivery and build a government fit for the digital age.

The APS Digital Profession gives members special access to an online community, mentorship opportunities, training and events.
Through collaboration and professional learning, the Digital Profession aims to improve the expertise of its members, and in turn, lift the digital capability of the government organisations where they work.
The Digital Profession has two levels of membership.
- Practitioner membership is for people with experience in digital roles or digital ways of working and who are ongoing or non-ongoing employees of a government agency (at Commonwealth, state or local level). It provides access to opportunities for mentorship, learning and collaboration, and members-only training and events.
- Associate membership is for anyone else who is interested in keeping up with the Digital Profession, contributing to its development and potentially joining as a practitioner in future. Associate members receive a newsletter with information on government digital trends and access to complimentary tools and resources.

A content strategy sets the foundation for the creation, structure and governance of content. You should apply a content strategy when building new services or redesigning web content, or for big changes such as machinery-of-government updates.
The Data, Digital and Cyber Workforce Plan provides a coordinated approach to attract, develop and retain people with skills in these areas of growing need.
For designers of digital services, the Australian Government Digital Service Standard sets out the best-practice principles that are simple, clear and fast.
