APS Gender Analysis Community of Practice
In May 2022, the Government committed to putting gender equality at the heart of policy and decision making with the reintroduction of gender responsive budgeting (GRB). GRB weaves consideration of gender impact through the Budget process and is a key way governments can identify and fund measures that close gender gaps.
The Office for Women, within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, is leading efforts to support implementation of GRB and gender analysis capability uplift across the Australian Public Service (APS). To help build this capability, OFW have launched the APS Gender Analysis Community of Practice – a one stop shop for gender analysis information and resources!
The CoP is open to all APS officers, and hosts a suite of resources and tools to help APS staff conduct gender analysis and integrate gender considerations in policy development.
