The Commonwealth Child Safe Framework (CCSF) sets minimum standards for creating and maintaining child safe culture and practices in Australian Government entities. The Framework is mandatory for all non-corporate entities and strongly recommended for all other Commonwealth entity types. The Attorney-General's Department supports implementation of the CCSF across the Commonwealth.

To assist entities to implement the CCSF, 6 online learning modules are available for use by all Commonwealth entities: four mandatory modules and 2 optional modules.

The modules are not sufficient training for staff who have direct engagement with children and it is expected entities with staff who directly engage with children will provide additional, targeted child safety training.

For more information, please see the National Officer for Child Safety's website, Lead the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework | National Office for Child Safety. You can also contact Attorney-General's Department at CommonwealthChildSafe@ag.gov.au.

This learning experience has been provided by the National Office for Child Safety within the Attorney-General's Department.
