The Australian Government released its Data and Digital Government Strategy in December 2024 outlining its 2030 vision to deliver simple, secure and connected public services for all people and business, through world-class data and digital capabilities.

The Strategy is a call to action for the APS to put people and business at the centre of our data and digital transformation, ensuring everyone’s experience with the Australian Government is inclusive, accessible, responsive to their needs and meets expectations.
The Strategy describes 5 missions to realise this 2030 vision;

  • Delivering for all people and business;
  • Simple and seamless services;
  • Government for the future;
  • Trusted and Secure;
  • Data and digital foundations.

The Strategy is supported by an Implementation Plan that outlines the actions the Government will take to achieve the Strategy’s 2030 vision. The Implementation Plan will be updated yearly.
