APS Career Pathfinder

APS Career Pathfinder is a tool to help people explore digital and other career options in government.
APS Career Pathfinder can help individuals find what they need to know for that next career step, whether they are in the APS looking to change or develop their career or thinking about working in government.
Use of the tool by agencies is suggested in Horizon 1 and Horizon 2 of the APS Data, Digital and Cyber Workforce Plan 2025-30, to develop talent for the APS and Commonwealth. We consulted with industry and government to identify the critical and desirable skills for 200 roles in the APS.
This tool uses the SFIA (Skills for the Information Age) framework and the DCF (Data Capability Framework) with public learning experience offerings mapped by Services Australia.
This resource has been provided by the Australian Public Service Commission.
