This course is available anytime and is delivered by Virtual Self-Directed.

​​This course aims to further develop concepts outlined in the Procurement Chapter of the Net Zero in Government Operations (NZGO) Strategy. It also incorporates elements of the Energy, Buildings, Fleet, Travel and ICT chapters.

The course will introduce procurement principles and terminology relevant to the NZGO Strategy. It will build familiarity with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the Environmentally Sustainable Procurement (ESP) Policy to meet the NZGO Strategy targets and measures. 

​This learning experience has been provided by Department of Finance.

  • Describe the contribution of net zero procurement to meeting NZGO Strategy targets.
  • Identify frameworks and policies that influence net zero procurement.
  • Apply the three-pillar approach to sustainable procurement.
  • ​Identify Whole-of-Australian-Government (WoAG) procurement arrangements and apply to net zero procurement requirements.

  • ​It is recommended that Foundations of Net Zero in Government Operations is completed before commencing other Net Zero courses.
