Digital preservation skills for Australian Government - Module 1: Digital formats
This module is designed to help you learn basic concepts and terminology to increase digital preservation awareness and skills in Australian Government agencies.
Including the use of digital information in your agency, the importance and characteristics of digital formats, and how digital information differs from traditional formats. You will also learn about concepts such as bits, bytes, and hexadecimal, how to identify various file formats, and understand the risks and sustainability considerations associated with file formats.
This module is designed to support agency implementation of the Building trust in the public record policy.
