Digital preservation for Australian Government - Module 4: Digital Preservation
This module explores the risks facing digital information and the strategies used to preserve it over time to increase digital preservation awareness and skills in Australian Government agencies. By undertaking this learning experience, you will gain an understanding of digital preservation principles, practices and tools, including how to manage risks such as media degradation, format obsolescence and loss of context, and apply preservation strategies to help ensure digital information remains authentic, accessible and usable into the future, despite changes in technology, file formats and systems.
This module is designed to support agency implementation of the Building trust in the public record policy.
