This session focuses on moving from awareness to action challenging senior APS leaders to think about AI — not as a technology initiative, but as a leadership and governance responsibility. It will explore practical ways to create an authorising environment, enable safe and responsible experimentation, and identify high-value opportunities within their agencies. The conversation will explore how AI is not about avoiding risk, but about governing it transparently and balancing the risks of action against the compounding risk of inaction.

This learning experience has been provided by the Australian Public Service Commission.
