The APSC has worked with the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI) and partners from nine other countries to co-develop the Public Service Innovation Booster – a practical toolkit that helps public servants design and improve services with people at the centre. It is designed for teams who want to make public services more human-centred, but who may not have specialised design or innovation support.

As part of the task force of the OECD Working Group on Innovation in Public Services, Australia contributed to shaping and testing the toolkit, bringing in Australia’s experience and needs.

This learning experience has been provided by OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation in partnership with the APSC.

Participant benefits

  • guides teams through a 7-step journey from challenge to solution
  • offers ready-to-use tools, canvases and templates in plain language, with step-by-step guidance
  • provides a collaborative platform where users can share examples, feedback and adaptations, keeping the toolkit alive and evolving.

Suitable for
