AI Foundations for the APS

AI Foundations for the APS is aimed at providing staff with an opportunity to build AI capability within an APS context.  

The workshop is designed as a hands-on, interactive session focussing on the safe and effective use of AI tools within APS agencies. Participants will participate in hands on activities and discuss different applications. Topics covered include AI fundamentals, effective prompting and reviewing strategies, and safe and appropriate used of AI within the workplace.

This learning experience has been provided by the Australian Public Service Commission.

  • Learn key APS AI governance frameworks and your obligations as an APS employee.

APS 1 - EL1.

Considerations

  • All participants will need to have access to an enterprise AI system (e.g. agency Copilot license or GovTeams Copilot access).  
  • All participants will need to bring their agency laptop to the workshop.
