The Net Zero Energy course is intended to further develop concepts outlined in the Net Zero Energy chapter of the Net Zero in Government Operations (NZGO) Strategy. It provides energy terminology, and tools and actions to meet the NZGO Strategy targets.
This learning experience has been provided by the Department of Finance.
Participant benefits
- Describe net zero energy emissions and summarise the energy targets included in the NZGO Strategy.
- Recognise traditional and renewable energy production methods and differentiate between location- and market-based reporting.
- Gain awareness of the whole-of-Australian-Government Electricity Procurement arrangement and summarise strategies to achieve net zero energy emissions.

APS 1 - EL 2. APS officials who have a role or interest in the implementation of the NZGO Strategy.
Considerations
- The Net Zero energy course is supplementary to the content in the Foundations of Net Zero in Government Operations course and is part of the Climate Action in Government Operations Program. It is recommended that you complete Foundations of Net Zero in Government Operations before beginning Net Zero Energy.
