Are you ‘Data capable’?
Did you know that building APS data capability was identified as key to enabling Government to leverage the benefits of data and delivering quality services and outcomes to Australians?
Do you want to boost your (or your staff’s) ability to work effectively with data?
The APS Academy’s Learning Quality Framework identified the Australian Bureau of Statistic’s Turning Data into Information (TDII) self-directed learning modules as a high quality resource to enhance data capabilities across the APS workforce.
The suite of 14 engaging modules have been designed to build your analytical skills and equip you with a range of statistical tools and techniques. They will help you to understand and analyse data in the context of a research question or issue.
You can choose to complete individual modules to address specific data-related learning needs, or complete the entire suite of modules to cover the data analysis process from beginning to end. Topics include: Assessing the quality of data; Avoiding the pitfalls of analysis; and Communicating your findings – amongst many others.
You can access these modules via the APS Academy website under the Strategy Policy and Evaluation craft courses page - Turning Data into Information | Australian Public Service Academy or search for it directly in APS Learn.
