Visual Scribing 101 - Basics for Beginners - November

Visual Scribing is the process of listening, synthesising and using both words and images to visually conceptualise ideas and discussions. It can be used for strategising, brainstorming, planning, storytelling, presenting ideas and much more. This course has been developed by one of our leading public service visual scribes and tested over the years for use in government. You will get an introduction to the principles, tools and techniques of Visual Scribing and how to apply them to your work.

The good news is you don’t need any drawing skills just a desire to learn how to turn information or express an idea into something visually engaging.

Delivery of online-facilitated sessions use a virtual classroom tool (e.g. Zoom, Adobe Connect, WebEx or Pexip). Agencies have access to different virtual classroom tools. Prior to enrolling on a course, it is suggested that you check if you have any restrictions using the tools. If you would like to complete the course, but cannot access the virtual classroom tool on your work device or network, we recommend you use a personal device such as a laptop or computer with a strong network to support you at home or other offsite location. For more information, please refer to our terms and conditions.

This offering is facilitated by a third party selected by the APS Academy. The facilitator will have considerable subject matter expertise through the practice and academia.
