APS Induction - Information Management
If you’re like most people then before today you probably didn’t give information management much thought, which is interesting because we do it every day – checking emails, deciding what coffee to order, sorting mail, interacting on social media and much more, so when you think of it like that, information management is part of our everyday lives, both at home and at work. In fact you could say that information drives business in the modern world and we’ll explore that idea in more detail during this course. The aim of this course is to increase awareness of Australian Government information management in the APS.
- What is information management - define business information and its importance in Government decision making.
- The characteristics of information - describe the characteristics of information.
- Managing information - recognise the responsibilities for managing information.
